Further Information

Landscape masterplan, concept and detail design for a new Suitable Alternative Natural Greenspace (SANG), which forms part of Eastleigh Borough Council’s nutrient mitigation strategy.

EBLA worked within a multi-disciplinary team and collaborated closely with the client’s ecologists and estate management to develop proposals for public access around the new SANG, including a circular walking route, landscape focal point, habitat enhancements, seating, interpretation and public art locations. Proposed habitat improvements comprise converting the existing semi-improved grassland to species-rich meadow, with inclusions of new woodland and scrubland, and creating bare earth scrapes and wet grassland flashes.

Following planning consent, EBLA prepared a detail design information package for tender in late 2024.
