EBLA were appointed to prepare concept design proposals for a new natural play area within one of the most visited free tourist attractions in Wales, Cyfarthfa Castle and Park.

The landscape proposals aim to create a natural play area in keeping with the existing woodland setting and to make use of the views across the valley to the Cyfarthfa Ironworks.

The scheme includes new timber play equipment suitable for a range of ages, new path network, timber sculptures, seating, tree planting and meadow areas. The project forms part of a Heritage Lottery Funding bid for wider improvements within the Park submitted by Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council.
